Pampering Your Pooch So Their Instagram Account Explodes

November 2, 2018

We’ve all seen the Instagram accounts for people’s pets, but let’s face it, the dog accounts are generally more popular - and who doesn’t love seeing regular updates about a super cute dog and his/her antics? Everyone is hitting the craze at the moment, and some accounts are more popular than others. Ever wondered why? There is actually more work than you think that goes into making the perfect pooch account for Instagram, and we’re going to give you some tips on how you can make your doggo Instagram famous!

My sisters dog Buster or shall I say Badass buster, is a prime example!

First we should look at why people create accounts for their dogs. For some, it’s simply to create a montage of all of the amazing moments they share with their furry friend. For others, it’s a way of making ends meet. Believe it or not, many of these top Instagram accounts for dogs have contracts with large companies and make a decent living from it! This is because of their viewership. Companies are able to advertise through these accounts and pay the account owners very nice amounts of money to do so!

Get a decent camera

We live in an age where poor camera quality is just not tolerated anymore. Most phones and tablets come with exceptional camera quality both front and back, but if you really want to step up your game, it’s a good idea to invest in a decent camera to snap shots of your dog with. Trust us, your fans will appreciate it!

Make sure they’re well behaved!

While we’re sure that your dog is a good boy, we all know that they can be mischievous from time to time. To make your life (and your dogs life) easier during shoots, it might be a good idea to train them so that they’re not running off halfway through snapping them.Having your pooch trained is always a good idea regardless of whether you’re going to make an Instagram account for them, as it prevents owner and dog frustration and helps create a lifelong bond between you. If you’re not sure how to go about training your dog, you should look into pet boarding so that you can rest assured that the training is done correctly.

Give your dog a regular makeover

Nobody likes to see a dirty and ungroomed dog (unless of course you catch them rolling in a puddle!), so it’s important to make sure that your pup gets a regular makeover. Have their fur trimmed and keep them clean so that they look their best in all of their snaps.

Consider buying them outfits

Whos heart doesn’t melt when they see a dog in a cute outfit? Whether you buy them a collar with a tie, or you’re looking to buy them full outfits to wow your fans, you will definitely hit the hearts of thousands if you choose to do this. Many people opt for hats and collars, and have large collections of dog clothing so that in each photo, they can keep mixing up their dog’s attire!

Use more than one location for your shoots

Finally, people are going to get bored quickly of seeing your dog running around your living room or garden, so it’s important to make sure that you have plenty of locations lined up for your pooch to explore. Look into dog friendly attractions and see if you can snap some pictures that other accounts wouldn’t usually think of!

We know that you already think your pup is amazing - and they are! Use these tips to make your dog into a mini celebrity whether you’re choosing to do it for fame, or simply making memories with your dog!
